
What is EFT tapping?
Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), is a modality that combines traditional Chinese medicine with modern day psychology. By tapping on accupressure points on the body, while focusing on negative thoughts, emotions, and memory, EFT helps to unblock meridians, while disconnecting the ‘charge’ between brain memory and somatic (body) memory. Once completed, memories can be retrieved without the overwhelming traumatic response.
EFT reduces cortisol and adrenaline and is therefore a great modality for people experiencing high stress levels and anxiety.
EFT can also be used in coaching to rewire the thought patterns in the brain and promote positive thinking and goal setting.
Clients would usually expect to have 1-3 sessions, depending on the presenting issue.
